Third of July

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

Today was a day off, being the day before the July 4 holiday.

This morning I worked on a search engine for a redesign of one of my sites. It will allow people to find and navigate the site quickly. Lots of Ajax interactivity. It is the next level with various pieces of code I’ve done in the past for search and CMS.

My exercise consisted of a walk to a local restaurant. There I pigged out and could barely walk home. Actually I did quite well on the walk. I credit my frequent short biking for any endurance I have.

Then it was on to recaulking part of the shower. I only got so far as to remove the previous caulking. Used orange smelling stuff to try and loosen it. Then busted a little plastc tool trying to work the black scummy corners.

And of course there were a couple rounds of Halo.

Warm day. 80 something. There is the usual battle between just leaving the windows open and shutting them with the AC on. The compromise is to waste the AC by leaving the windows open. Whatever.

Now we are about to watch Fan Boys movie.

Tomorrow there will be no shortage of festivity and an inevable batch of tagged photos. Hoping to make at least one day party and then go to the local fireworks show.
