Fortune cookie mind control

think1I know things are rough out there, so I stimulated the economy today by having cashew chicken at Panda for lunch. Usually I’d just drink coffee all day, but hey, it’s Friday.

My fortune cookie said that now was the time to take action with that supposed idea I had been thinking about.

That would be awesome to have an idea worth taking some sort of grand life-changing action on. The cookie wanted me to believe.

Maybe quit one unhappy job to find another unhappy job. Yeah, because unhappiness is their fault.

Maybe I could get rich and have so much idle time that I go crazy; pull every lazy whore out of the woodwork in my life; breed a bunch of losers. Fun party.

I could be like one of those guys that made the 99-cent iPhone apps and made hundreds of thousands of dollars, 99 cents at a time. When I run out of money I could just come up with another idea. And another. Surely this would be sustainable through retirement.

Or I could become really popular on the Internet, and get so much web traffic that Google starts writing $10,000 monthly checks to me. Let’s see… penny per impression… $10,000 would need 23 impressions per minute… That’s sustainable. I am interesting enough.

Reality check! I only get 23 impressions per day. So I just need to work at it 1,380 times harder, that’s all. High traffic has been done… by worthwhile services… that are affordable… and well advertised… and cost tons of time and money to run… nevermind.

Okay maybe since there isn’t a natural attraction,… I’ll have to spam enough people, or trick them to stumble on my site, at a rate of 23 page views per freakin minute. Darn, spam is illegal. And if those millions of anonymous recipients ever found me, they’d trample me while onlookers cheer.

Maybe I’ll go back and charge through life with my head down and hope I don’t lose my ass along the way.

Well, time’s up. I need to refill my drink before I leave so I get my money’s worth.

Tomorrow I will eat a burrito. Nice dreaming with you.

  1. 23 impressions per min. That is actually quite a bit. But you would need a good SEO setup. Hmm

Hope my impression helped your bottom line.

Boy I hear you on getting attention it seems to be a 30 hour a day job. When can I get off the little wheel and really go somewhere.
