Check out Google App Engine – Preview Release

Nice how all the backend setup is handled. Hardware, database, users, email, url fetching. Even scalability. This is huge.
I got the SDK and can start developing locally. I was too slow for the “Preview Release”. Missed the 10,000 developer cut off. Google’s run at a web app platform will be a hit, if it isn’t already. This thing will be huge. Time to get into Python again, maybe Django too (FAQ says it was included in the SDK install already).
I installed the SDK. Made the “Hello, world!” app (link below). It worked. Sweet. Nice start.
